Hello all,

This month's topic is "Living the Enlightened Way."

"Living the Enlightened Way." Just what does this mean?

Eric Butterworth, a Unity minister said "If contemporary religions avail themselves of the millennial opportunity, they will evolve a millennial theology in which religion will not be centered in churches, but in living. It will not be a way of worship but a way of life. Its purpose will not be to create great congregations, but to produce enlightened people. When we have enlightened people at the bargaining table, on the councils of governments, enlightened people as teachers, officials and parents, then the problems of society will be easily resolved."

One does not have to look too far to see the problems that religions bring to the world. Separation and division through the idea that one religion is "the way." Many sects of the same religions are attempting to kill one another let alone those who do not worship as they do.

The Enlightened Way is a way of living. One who is enlightened does not need a church, a minister, rabbi, priest or any other person to bring them to GOD or Source. We are never separate from Source or GOD. We only feel separated. Religion can be a convenient way to separate from Source, that way we can say "Well, of course they are religious, they are a minister, or rabbi, priest, etc." or, "Our way of belief is the way, if one is not Christian, Jew, Muslim, etc. one is not on the true path, we have the true path."

Separation can be convenient, as it can be an excuse to keep us separate from our brothers and sisters of another faith. We have the reminder of "separation of church and state" and that business and religion do not mix, "please do not bring your faith to the work place."

If one was "enlightened," one could bring this way to every moment of their life. GOD or Source is not a religion. GOD or Source is always there, for all of us. All the Universe and each one of us are one with the Creator. We are surrounded by an abundance in Nature, an ever flowing, expanding abundance of energy called "LOVE." A love of each moment. Never separate. What if each one of us looked at each other as reflections of GOD. What if each one of us saw each other as a mirror, a reflection of Source? What if each person, even those who bugged us, was a gift from Source, or in fact was Source? An Enlightened person sees all, everything as Source. Each moment provides the opportunity to be connected or not. It is our choice, our free will to decide which it will be. The "victim" mentality or the "power - less" state, has us stuck in the idea that others are a "bother." That difficult situations in life are a circumstance we are in, not something we are creating

Enlightened individuals know that they are "power - full" and co-creators of this experience, one with Source, GOD. Enlightened individuals know that if something feels "awful" in their life, it is a gift, something to be grateful in. A moment or time in their life, that they have created to get to know themselves better or to take their "self" on. Enlightened individuals know that they can take this "power - full" state, this connection to Source with them everywhere, to their board meeting, to school, to work, with their employees, with their family, friends, etc. We do live in a Universe, a Galaxy; we can take this idea with us at all times.

Even with all of our modern advances as humans, religions would have us believe that we are all awaiting "Armageddon" and the end of time. Enlightened individuals know that Source, GOD is ever expanding, ever changing and growing and Source is asking us to do the same. If Source really wanted us to stay stuck in the times of 2,000 or 3,000 or 5,000 years ago, why are we filled with all these desires and dreams? Why do we want to change, grow and advance? Why are inventors and scientists "inspired" to discover so many new things? Inspired, means "in spirit." Enlightened individuals know that it is natural to look forward, to the ever expanding new possibility for human kind. That we are not facing the "Armageddon" or the end. We have each new moment before us, it is up to us to choose. What will it be?

We are surrounded by demonstrations of Source all around us in the miracles of Nature. One does not have to venture far to see the abundance that Source created. Nature provides us with the lessons on how to produce that same abundance in our lives. An enlightened individual knows that we too, have cycles and seasons.

Carry with you the idea that you are never separate from Source or GOD. Love every moment. Be in service or use in every moment to honor Source. Surrender to a higher power when you feel frustration or resistance in your body. Know that those moments are gifts too and that your connection to Source responds when you surrender. Resistance or frustration are the blocks and the separation.

Living the "Enlightened Way" is loving each moment. Not in the "I'm in love" sense. Loving each moment means loving everything and everyone in that moment. Whether chaos or peace prevail in each moment, make loving each of them your focus. Taking life one moment at a time for ever. Bring that with you today, just for today in each moment and see if that makes a difference in your life today. See if you feel the connection. Then try it again with the gift of the next day. Love is that. Loving each moment will connect you to all that is. Source is Energy and that energy is love. So you think that if Source or GOD stopped loving each moment that we would continue to exist?

Add Source to your life and your business and to whatever you do. Or perhaps you think religion has a better idea?

I love writing this.

Enlightened people know that they can keep their religion and keep open the idea of a Universe alive with unlimited possibilities for all of humanity.

Be well, and I give you my blessings as a gift.

I invite you to my October 1st class in Vermont at 3471 Chelsea Road, Williamstown, VT  05679.

We will have a Blessing of the Land ceremony, and then the class titled, "Living the enlightened way and What are you planting?" The cost to register for the class is $15.00 and tuition is the donation of one apple tree to plant. The cost of the tree is $25.00. Whether you attend the class or not the total cost is $40.00. If you are not able to attend the class we would be glad to plant the tree for you. Those not attending, the extra $15.00 covers the cost of our planting the tree for you.

Lunch is included.

We will order the tree for you. You may plant it if you attend the class or we will plant it for you. We will put your name on a sign beneath the tree and send you a picture of your tree once each season: Winter - at Rest; Spring - Sprouting; Summer - Growth and Autumn - at Harvest. We will track the harvest of your tree each year and keep you posted on the progress and growth of your tree. We ask that you think of your tree during the year and send out good thoughts and picture an abundant harvest for your tree. Chances are that your tree will accurately reflect the kind of harvest you are reaping each year.

It will be a fun day. Plan on attending and pitch a tent if you wish to spend the night in the clear Vermont air.

The Ceremony begins at 11:00 am. The class begins at 11:30 am with the tree planting. Lunch will be at 1:00 pm and the class ends at 4:00 pm.

I look forward to seeing many of you there and to planting many trees for those who cannot make it. It is the beginning of the Rainbow's End Farm and the Centre for Human Development.

Thank you to those who have already committed to planting a tree and/or attending the class.

It will be a great day. Come and begin the journey with us.

Sincerely,
Steve
