Trees in Summer...doing great!

Living in the middle of the harvest.

Life is busy and messy right now... a lot is going on for me all at once... many new clients showing up, challenges with relationships on many fronts... e-mails, phone calls, newsletters, planning for new classes, etc. I am sure that this sounds familiar for many of you. We are harvesting what we planted. I have the garden still growing while I am harvesting at the same time. Pumpkins, Squash, Tomatoes, Peppers, Kale, Cucumbers and Broccoli are all growing while being harvested. At the same time, in many of my relationships, the same is true. The harvest is in and growth continues.

The principle for both vegetables and relationships are the same. I look at the harvest and think about the seeds that were planted for each. For the vegetables, it is easier. I can check the seed brand and change them if I do not like the harvest for whatever reason. I could change the location of the garden, prepare the soil better for next year... care, weed and feed better if the results are less than desirable. It all sounds the same as I write this for relationships too. Why is it more difficult?

Mostly, looking at what I am harvesting in relationships. Accepting responsibility means that I cannot "blame" you for what went wrong. If I have to look at the seed "brand," well it's my own "brand," the Steve seeds that I planted. That part, my part, is not always easy to see or accept.

In this time of the harvest... while things are still growing, I can take advantage of the lesson that my harvest is asking me to learn... and keep growing or I can just wait for the "killing frost" ... the end of relationships. Which is it that I want? The choice is mine.

The choice is yours too... Which will it be?

I wish you an abundant harvest and continued growth.

Gratefully yours,
Steve
