another
name for the old fashioned FAITH
that's always been talked about is CERTAINTY.
being certain makes an island of firmament,
in the sea of chaos, that often seems to be
what's happening.
the feeling of being overwhelmed by chaos,
confusion, doubt, and suffering never did any good for getting
to the other side of it. instead, it just immerses one deeper
in hopelessness and despair. it destructs rather than
constructs any favorable outcomes.
the assurance and conviction
that things are working out,
no matter what it seems like,
to all appearances...is a personal choice.
it takes a big decision. it is a skill that requires
aerobic practice over and over. it is selecting,
among all the gloomy appearances,
THE UNSEEN AND INTENDED ONE INSTEAD.
it's called making-it-up-out-of-nothing.
it's called choosing what's possible,
instead of what it seems like is possible...
- this
power to choose
- this
power to be certain
- this
power to make-up-an-outcome
is a
code-making program
and it is a Divine power innate
in all human beings!
many people do not think they have such
a liberating choice, to create a prospering code...
so they don't, not because it's not available,
but because they refuse to use it.
they choose only from appearances
and for someone eager to learn
the principles of manifestation,
that choice is too limited.
most codes are
unconscious responses
to past threats.
any situation i am trying to master...
any circumstance i want
to be free of...demands my use of choice,
then my skill of maintaining that choice
until it surfaces...through all challenges,
feelings, turnings or threatening specters
the certainty code is in any chaos:
- an
assurance
- a
conviction
- an
inner knowing that something
good is just around the corner.
even
though one doesn't have to know
exactly how things will arrive at a result,
one does have to-hold-to-the-feeling,
speaking, and actions that portray that belief,
that firm sense, that invitation to
the
miraculous possibility.
knowing things will work out, you can't enjoy
the luxury of lapsing back into fear or dread again.
no. that part is over and canceled.
the new is on the way
where you hold the door open
in certainty.
the choice for certainty,
expectation of good outcome,
faith in what's invisible,
is an ongoing choice.
it doesn't just happen in one moment...
like any good code or discipline,
it's constantly upheld by watchfulness.
if a Mom tells her daughters they may not smoke
in the house, she doesn't just tell them once.
she says it as often as needed. she sniffs the air.
she is on the lookout for butts and ashes.
she delivers a consequence if smoking is discovered.
certainty must be lived in thought,
word, and deed. it's declared. it's held in mind as what's
so.
it's watchful for lapses. it has consequences,
when it falls out, it's returned to form fast!
our certainties create the life we already have...in a study
for greater prosperity, many previous or unconscious
certainties
need to be re-wired, re-constructed, brought up on line
with what is intended now.
sometimes, people do not recall
that childhood certainties, unexamined,
are still ruling results and consciousness.
a student who leads a productive and energetic life,
but wants more health, wealth, and happiness
was dismayed to discover
an old fear of what’s new
lurking in his consciousness.
life had been managed in such a way,
as to not bump into this childlike fear
of being harmed if any mistake was made.
the result was that
new experiences were avoided
and GOOD NEW GROWTH
into more prosperous results was also avoided.
when he signed into a prosperity training program for a year,
he found himself weeping and shaking with fear
that someone might have a conversation with him
about something "wrong" that he might do.
given that starting at anything new
makes one a beginner...it's likely
that he may not be an expert
at everything required
in a new program.
through the events
of learning new programs,
many "mistakes" will be made
and that's where the retooling of behaviors happens.
to avoid "mistakes" and retooling,
is to avoid the best part of growth.
previous to this discovery, the student would
never have seen that fear was still directing
how far he could progress.
so, those old certainties
of pain and suffering have got
to be re-wired for new good to occur.
SOME OF what we were certain of,
we do not want to claim any longer...
the code that's been running the results
needs to be re-worked.
