Do you wonder why you keep pushing forward?

Hello all,

piglets born on the farmI was in the barn last night at 9:00 pm... got the intuition to go look at "big momma," one of our pigs, as she was expecting piglets anytime... as Janice and I looked at her I saw the first piglet born to big momma, on the hay behind her... still working its way out... what followed over the next three plus hours was amazing... watching each one make its way to their milk... within two minutes of being born... their instincts directed them perfectly to her teats... she presented herself, laid sideways, within minutes of her piglet being first born, making sure that her baby had clear access to her milk... big momma turned out to be a great momma, as compared to bandit last week who gave birth to 12 and only 5 survived as she did not have the instincts to care for her newborns... after 8 were born with very little assistance from me... mostly pulling out the umbilical cord for those that were stuck and unable to move toward mom's milk... there was a lull in the births... around midnight I noticed a little hoof sticking out and watched as it just sat there... not moving... so I assisted... as I touched the hoof it got the little piglet working again, instincts again saying, "ok, I do want to be born," and then it would only come so far as the other hoof must have been stuck, so I reached into big momma and pulled the little piglet out... a beautiful spotted pig... the only one like that... with all black and white spots... the rest were as follows... 2 all black, one tan, one spotted and 7 were mixed variations of white with a few black patches... so she delivered 11 total... I stayed for nine... I went to bed around 12:45, a few hours after Janice, and when we woke up there were 2 more... which she delivered without any assistance... (nature took care of it all).

piglets born on the farmWhat was amazing was watching life, by itself, naturally work to expand... each piglet just knew where to go for milk and then each one positioned itself after some time on "their teat"... they just developed order on their own... and with sixteen teats and 11 babies, nature again provided for plenty... they can all be fed quite easily (I'm not the mom obviously)... life expands as a natural part of itself... that is why we want to expand... why most people have a desire for more... we are programmed this way... there is no sense in making ourselves wrong for wanting to improve our lives... we are hard wired this way... nature is magnanimous... we are programmed to want more, to be more productive and to want to explore ways to grow... I saw it in the piglets... I see it in those all around me... I am grateful to see that 8 sheep became 18 and to see 2 pigs become 23... this inspires me to keep writing, speaking, coaching and training about how we can all be more... to live our magnanimous program and not hide out looking for the safe life... if you wonder why you keep pushing forward, have a bunch of animals show you the program... our program...

Gratefully yours,
Steve
